P&O Cruises was founded in 1837 and is now Australia and New Zealand's leading cruise line to destinations in the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The company operates three cruise ships: Pacific Dawn, Pacific Sun and Pacific Jewel. The fourth and largest ship Pacific Pearl is scheduled to be placed into service in late 2010.

P&O Cruises depart from Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle, Newcastle and Auckland. Pacific Jewel, which began cruising in December 2009, features the largest Spa afloat and a new form of evening entertainment, Pacific Cirque.

Sister company, Princess Cruises, bases two ships in Australia year round. The 77,000-ton Dawn Princess and Sun Princess.
